Loretta Freire Molero passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Melvin “Mully” Molero for 63 years. Loving mother of Karen Molero Dragon (David), Tina Molero Tinney (Mark) and the late Clifford Raymond Molero. Daughter of the late Henry Freire and Irene Campo Freire. Sister of Irene Clark, Henrietta Montelongo and the late Sylvia White and Joycelyn Shaw. Proud grandmother of Jessica Dragon Cheramie (Jacob), Barret David Dragon, Mark Clifford Tinney and Austin Matthew Tinney. Great grandmother of Victoria Elizabeth Cheramie and the late Angel Hope Cheramie. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Loretta was born on January 7, 1937 in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was strong in her faith receiving the St. Louis Medal and was a Eucharistic minister at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Loretta worked alongside her husband at their family business, Molero’s Marina. She then went on to work for the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office for many years. She will be forever remembered by her family and friends and deeply missed by all of those whose lives she touched. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Fidelis Scofield and Heart of Hospice for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and funeral mass held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Church, St. Bernard, LA.
