Wendell Jude Fourcade, a long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish and son of the late Estelle and Wilfred Fourcade, passed away on July 16, 2018 at the age of 66. Wendell was the adoring husband of Jenny Gaspard Fourcade for 13 years, and was eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child in late August of this year. Father of Ashley Fourcade. Brother of Brenda Pierrotti (Steve), Wilfred Fourcade, Jr. (the late Carole), and the late Noel Fourcade (Annette). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Wendell was a member of Knights of Columbus Archbishop Rummel Council 5747, and served his community as a Police Officer for 26 years. Most recently, he was an Officer of the East Jefferson Levee District Police. He also served with the LSU Health & Science Campus Police, University of New Orleans Police, the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi River Bridge Authority and the Harbor Police. Wendell lived a life dedicated to giving back to his community. He was much loved, and will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation was held in Wendell’s honor on Monday, July 23, 2018 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette followed by a Funeral Mass.
