Raymond F. Balladares, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:22 p.m. after his long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Joan Dupaquier Balladares. He is survived by four children: Debra Gosnell, David Balladares, Dawn Bianchini and Denise Landry. The Grandfather of nine: Charlie, Chase, and Christopher Gosnell; Raymond Balladares and Megan Taylor; Josh, Katie, and Lauren Bianchini; and Jared Landry. The Great Grandfather of Kade and Kalynn Gosnell; Sophia and Dylan Balladares; Giabella Domino; and Addison and August Landry. Son of the late Salvador Balladares and Dora Bernard Balladares. He was born and raised in New Orleans; was a resident of Meraux for 35 years and Covington for the past 13 years. He was a graduate of Holy Cross School’s class of 1955. He was a retiree of Textron Marine and Land Systems. Relatives and friends of the family attended the visitation, funeral and memorial services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Interment in Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
