Betty Jane “Mawzie” Badeaux passed from this life on Thursday morning July 26, 2018, in Lacombe at the age of 82. She was born in New Orleans and lived most of her life in St. Bernard Parish, Meraux, LA. As a teacher’s aide and coach at Borgnemouth Park, she touched the lives of so many school children in St. Bernard Parish at many different schools and ball parks. She retired as a teacher’s aide in St. Bernard Parish. Devoted Mother of Darlene B. Chambers (Chris), Michael Reva, Joey Reva, Belinda Rafferty, Brenda Wright, and the late Danielle and Debbie Badeaux. Sister of Vera Blake (Bob), Emily Everett, Paul Mayeux Jr. (Judy), Harry Mayeux (Joette), Susan Audibert, and the late Charles Mayeux. Loving grandmother of Melissa (Lance), Kaila (Roche), Brooke (Nicole), Christie, Beau, Cherie, Bridget (Matt), Tabatha, Mark, Katie, Kyle, Jeremy, and April. Great grandmother of nine with two more on the way. Relatives and friends of the family attended a visitation and Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd, Slidell at 11:30 am.
