Brandi Michelle McGough Landwehr was carried by angels in harmony with her 16 year-old daughter Hannah Angelle Landwehr to heaven on August 3, 2018 at the age of 43. Their unexpected tragedy bares understanding that life is short and we must make the best of our time on earth. Brandi came to us as a bundle of joy on March 30, 1975, in West Monroe, LA. She continued to spread that joy as she touched our lives, throughout her life. Brandi graduated from Chalmette High School, where she was an Owls’ cheerleader. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and received a degree in Accounting. She worked as a property accountant managing oil and gas producing properties. Brandi was formerly married to William Landwehr, with whom she gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Hailey. Brandi loved her girls and devoted her life to them. She was the most loving and kind person to everyone she met. She kept in touch with friends as far back as elementary school. Brandi had a bigger heart than anyone can imagine. She loved children and was especially devoted to helping sick or impaired children by seeking donations for their cause. Brandi was the beloved daughter of Karen Rodriguez Brown and the late Monte Wayne McGough and stepdaughter of Raymond John Brown. She was the mother of the late Hannah Angelle Landwehr and Hailey Madison Landwehr. Brandi was the sister of Brent McGough, stepsister of Richard Brown, sister-inlaw of Gelinda McGough, Rhonda Brown, Cynthia Landwehr and Billy Barnes. She was the granddaughter of Holden and Gladys Rodriguez. Brandi was the aunt of Trevor McGough, Richard II, Rian & Raechel Brown, Peyton & Megan Callahan, Christopher, Victoria & Rebecca Brown, Ethan Ebejer, Melissa Barnes, and great aunt of Emma Winding. She was the niece of Ronnie and Lee Rodriguez, Don & Susan Rodriguez, Danny & Kenneth McGough, Sandra & Terry Nugent, Robert & Cindy Brown, Karen & Johnny Navarro, and Rose Merwin. Brandi had many, many cousins. Preceded in death by grandparents Monte Gray and Jesse Lee McGough, Uncles Bobbie McGough and Allen Merwin and her sister-in-law Teresa Barnes. Brandi was the glue that held our families together. She was loved by everyone and will be forever missed. Relatives and friends attended a Memorial Gathering in Brandi’s honor on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., in Chalmette. A Memorial Service was held afterward. She was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the educational fund of Brandi’s surviving daughter, Hailey Madison Landwehr. Donations can be made in the name of Hailey Madison Landwehr at any Capital One Bank. To sign and view the family guestbook, please visit www.stbernardmemorial.com.
