John Marion Carlson passed away peacefully on August 24, 2018 surrounded by his wife and sons. He was a one of a kind person known by his friends and family for the nicknames he gave everyone he met, his witty sense of humor, love of seafood, and complete dedication to his family. He was the loving husband of Winifred Hoffpauir Carlson. Father of John Carlson (Tracey) and David Carlson. Grandfather of John Guerra, Brandon Eady, Cody Eady, and Emily Moran. Great grandfather of Thor Guerra, Lily Eady, John and Julian James. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Katherine Carlson and brother Raymond Carlson. He is also survived by niece, nephews, & cousins. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followd by a funeral service. He was vlaid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
