Fred E. Kleyle passed away in Hot Spring, Arkansas on October 13, 2018, at the age of 94. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 23, 1924. Fred attended and graduated from Fortier High School in New Orleans, La. and was a member of the high school championship team in 1939 and 1940. He enlisted in the US Naval Air Service in 1942 and served as Major Naval Flight Instructor until 1946. After his service he attended and graduated from Tulane University in 1950 with a Chemical Engineering Degree. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Fred joined Kaiser Alumi9num in 1951 at the plant in Chalmette, La. He retired in 1981. He was also a member of the RTA Fraternity (Dragons) in Metairie, La. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, and his three brothers (Edwin A. Kleyle, Walter H. Kleyle and William Kleyle). Virginia and Fred were married for 53 years. Loving survivors include many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family attended a visitation on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans.
