Patricia Ann Kelly Thomas passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the age of 72. She was the beloved mother of Lori Cavalier (Gary) and the late Michael Joseph Thomas. Daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Edgecombe Kelly. Devoted sister of B. Katherine Kelly Sagrera (Ralph, M.D.) and Joseph Perez Kelly Jr. (Betty). Proud grandmother of Gary Jude Cavalier. Loving aunt of Tracy Fife, Holly Gab, Cory Melancon, Jason Kelly, Jonathan Kelly and Jennifer Kelly. Beloved Nanny-Gran of Dowen, Bayleigh, Lucy and Luke. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives, dear friends and her beloved pets, Weezer, Rags and Zazu. Patricia was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was a member of the Council on Aging and enjoyed antiques, bingo, gardening, music and theater. She lived and enjoyed life through simple pleasures, especially spending time with her friends and family. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. Special thanks to the Chalmette Dialysis Center for their professional care and compassion. John Bass Winder Sr., a proud WWII veteran and retired mechanical engineer from Kaiser Aluminum, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Bateman Winder for 63 years. Loving father of Evelyn Winder Husser (Larry Wayne) and the late John Bass Winder, Jr. (Judy). Son of the late Fay Goode Winder, Sr. and Birdie Celestin Winder. Brother of the late Charles P. Winder and Fay G. Winder, Jr. Also survived by three granddaughters, Laurie H. Catherine Verna Killingsworth Barousse passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 83. She was the longtime companion of Charles Colon and previous wife of 56 years to Eugene J. Barousse Jr. Beloved mother of Cathy Coyle (Tyrone), Karen Brakel (Robert), Debra Bouterie (Alan), Barry Barousse (Robbin), Daniel Barousse (Laurie), Sharon Barousse (Ron) and the late Eugene Barousse III (Fran). Daughter of the late Otho and Ethel Killingsworth. Sister of Maxine Smith, Pete Killingsworth and the late Sonny Killingsworth Sr. Proud grandmother of Tyrone Coyle Jr., Eugene Barousse IV, Amanda Barousse, Jason Brakel (Magdalena), Benjamin Brakel, Alan Bouterie Jr. (Shelley), Dustin Barousse (Michelle), Jacob Barousse, Melissa Duplechine, Jennifer White (John), Daniel Barousse and Adam Barousse. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 16 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Catherine was born in Chase, LA and was a longtime resident of Chalmette, LA before settling in Bogalousa, LA following Hurricane Katrina. She enjoyed a career in caring for others as a Medical Secretary with Mercy Hospital in New Orleans. She was a devoted “sports junkie” who loved her Saints football, LSU Tigers and just about anything on ESPN. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend of many, who loved her sports and treasured her family. Son of the late Laverne Heckler Geary and the late Frederick Louis Gettle. Devoted father of Gerald August Gettle Jr. (Nicole), Michael Andre Gettle and Lori Marie Gettle. Proud grandfather of Elizabeth Gettle Daussin, Trey Luke Gettle, Ashley Elizabeth Gettle and Jackson August Gettle. Great grandfather of Zachary Mason Daussin. Brother of Fred Louis Gettle (Diane). Uncle of Christine Gettle, Raymond Rhodes, Earl Joseph “EJ” Rhodes, Jean Ann Perry, Steven Hupp and the late Jessica Hupp. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many relatives, cousins and dear friends. Gerald proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid hunter and fi sherman and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Wilbur will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Rene Anthony Pecar passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 31. He is survived by his newborn and cherished son, Joey Taylor Pecar. Beloved son of Francis C. Pecar and Sybil P. Pecar. Brother of Alan P. Blache, Kelly A. Blache and Lawrence A. Pecar. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his four nieces, three nephews, along with many cousins, relatives and dear friends. Rene was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Global War Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal and Enlisted Submarine Warfare Specialist. He also graduated from Kaplan Nursing College of San Diego, CA. He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal son, father, brother, uncle and a friend of many, who fought for his country and treasured his friends and family. Lucille Robichaux McCabe went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2017 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin P. McCabe; mother, Agnes Marie Estopinal; father, Albert Robichaux; brothers, Stanley Robichaux and Alfred Robichaux. She is survived and fondly remembered by her son, Bret McCabe (Christine McCabe); daughter, Lori McCabe Heaphy (Alden Heaphy); four grandsons, Shane McCabe (Heather McCabe), Briggs McCabe, Alden Tyler Heaphy, and Britain Heaphy; three nieces, Cynthia Cavin, Kim Price, Michelle Carter; one nephew, Michael Robichaux; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Lucille was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, before settling in Lafayette, LA. In her earlier years she enjoyed working as a secretary for the Civil Service. Lucille McCabe received a certificate in “Employee Relations and Office Procedures” from Delgado Trades and Technical Institute in 1958. She also won the Louisiana State Spelling Bee in 1938 when she was in the Third Grade. Lucille loved the Lord, and was a sweet, kind soul, who never had an unkind word about anyone. She truly enjoyed the simple pleasures throughout her life. She was well loved and a devoted wife, mother and caregiver to many. She will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her friends and family, her caring and loving spirit, her smile and laughter. She was our pillar of courage and strength and a wonderful example of kindness and love. She will be deeply missed by us all. Loving father of Cindy Lauzon Serigne (Howard J. Serigne Jr.), Kim Lauzon Serigne (Richard J. Serigne Sr.), Gina Lauzon Nunez (Glenn Nunez Jr.) and the late Warren James Lauzon. Adopted father of Jerral Ronquille. Son of the late Albert Lauzon and Earline Dufrene Lauzon. Brother of Eve L. LeBlanc (Douglas), Valery V. Lauzon (Theresa), Roy J. Lauzon Sr. (Madeline) and Louling “Lou” Lauzon. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Jane Colletti Hoover of St. Amant, LA passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the age of 57. Jane was born in New Orleans on March 27, 1960 to Nick and Joy Colletti. She grew up in St. Bernard Parish and has been a resident of St. Amant for the past 11 years. She leaves behind her husband, Jesse Hoover, whom she shared life with for the past 35 years; her parents Nick and Joy Colletti; her two sons, David Schaefer, Jr and Michael Schaefer; her beloved grandchildren Alaina and Garrett Schaefer; her two brothers, Nick (Janice) Colletti and Ricky Colletti; her sister Julie Pourciau; her nieces/goddaughters Nicole and Natalie Pourciau, along with several other nieces, nephews relatives and friends. She also leaves behind a beloved friend whom she considered a second sister, Anna Brignac, who she enjoyed spending time with and who was always there for her. Jane was an incredible person and loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren who she adored so much. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, shopping, and simply spending time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Proud grandfather of Lisa Marbury, Ashley Godbery, Robert Badeaux Jr. and Michelle Badeaux. Great grandfather of Logan Marbury, Grace Marbury, Sophie Marbury, Chloe Godbery, Aiden Godbery, Ian Badeaux. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Anthony was born in Bayou Current, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Madisonville, LA. He proudly served his country during World War II as a Sargent in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He will be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family and the country he loved. He was our pillar of courage and strength and will be deeply missed by all who were touched by his love, kindness and compassion. Relatives and friends attended a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, followed by a funeral mass afterward. He was laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.

Ronald “Ronnie” Malcolm Boudreaux Jr., a devoted husband and father died suddenly at his home on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the age of 66. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Diane Traina Boudreaux, his two sons, Ryan Michael Boudreaux and Beau Alphonse Boudreaux, and his dog Boud, all of which he loved so much. We will love and miss him every day of our lives. He is also survived by his ln-laws, nieces, nephews, aunt and cousins whom he loved dearly. Ronnie retired from Cox Communications after working there for over 30 years. After retirement, he has been working part time at English Turn Country Club. Ronnie’s smile and craziness will never be forgotten. Ronnie’s outgoing and full of life personality will surely be missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends attended a memorial visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. A memorial mass began afterward, and inurnment followed in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.

Abigail Nicole Blazio passed away on June 16, 2017 at the age of 24. She was born on April 21, 1993. Beloved daughter of Ruth Blazio and Jimmy Smith, granddaughter to Ray and Irna Blazio, sister to Damie Blazio, and beloved niece, aunt, cousin, and godmother to the rest of her family. She will forever be in our hearts. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Abby will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette, 2015 Palmisano Blvd. Please join us in honoring the life of Abby from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a mass shortly after.

John Ray Mancuso Sr. passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Mitzi Mancuso by second marriage and Gwendolyn Mancuso by first marriage. Loving father of Jennifer Mancuso Johnson (Richard), John Mancuso Jr. (Ellen), Jeffrey Mancuso (Wendi) and Joseph Mancuso (Lachelle). Son of the late Joseph Louis Mancuso and Jenny Roppolo Mancuso. Brother of Charles Mancuso (Lillie) and the late Francis Mancuso (June). Proud grandfather of JoEllen, Genevieve, John III (Janelle), Justin, Jeffrey Jr., Jennifer (Ryan), Magnolia Belle and Kailah. Great grandfather of Eli, Elan, Jasmyn, Jase, Ava, Jayden, Scott, Nicholas and the late Jaclyn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. John was born on April 17, 1940 in Baton Rouge, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was very social, he loved people and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
