Survivors include her husband, Robert Robinson, Sr., five children, four siblings, sixteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Relatives and friends attended the funeral service at First Asia Baptist Church, 2408 Walkers Lane, Meraux, LA, on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12:30 p.m., Pastor Carlton Campbell, Officiating. Interment St Bernard Memorial Gardens. Visitation was at 10 a.m. in the church. Arrangements made by Charbonnet Family Services.

Keith “Lil Keith” Anthony Russell Jr. passed away after suffering a tragic accident at work in Houston, TX. He is the beloved son of Keith Russell Sr. and Jane Urbeso Russell. Loving brother of Raymond Leroux (Raychelle) and Desiree Russell (Brandon). Grandson of Joseph Urbeso and the late Diane Urbeso, Warren Russell Jr. and Sandra Russell. Nephew of Paul Russell (Sherry), Troy Russell Sr., Georgiana Urbeso and Joe Urbeso III. Uncle of Emily Leroux, Sophia Leroux, Olivia Leroux, Jocelynn Simonaux, Noel Simonaux, Noah Simonaux and Hazel Simonaux. He is also survived by his extended family, David Kenny (Julie), John Kenny (Tania), Dawn Russell, Robert Estopinal (Trudy), Ward Tassin, along with the Ellison Family and many cousins, relatives and dear friends. Keith was born in New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and Ponchatoula, currently residing in Houston TX where he enjoyed a career with Stolthaven Terminals. When not working, Keith lived aquiet life with a small group of close friends. He loved the UFC, was an avid player of fantasy football, a lifelong gamer and loved the laughter of his friends. He was a dedicated and loving son, brother and a good friend to those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who were touched by his love, kindness, laughter and compassion. Relatives and friends attended a visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Alverta S. Walton passed away at her home on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the age of 100. She was the beloved wife of the late John Carl Walton. Daughter of the late John Frederick Schrieffer and Elizabeth Rideau Schrieffer. Sister of the late Mildred Hatfield, Irma Holley, Edith Krennerich and Althea Schrieffer. She is survived by five nieces, three nephews, many great, great great and great great great nieces, nephews and Pauli, Matthew, Sarah and David. Alverta was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a current resident of Slidell, LA. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Stars, Rachel Jackson Chapter 241. Alverta will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to all family, friends, caregivers and Canon Hospice for their love and support of “Aunt Al”. Deborah Leah Stein went home to heaven on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:37 a.m. after being diagnosed with cancer on August 28, 2016 at the age of 68. Beautiful and compassionate mother to Jessica Mendez Bushrod (Jermon Bushrod) and Jennifer Liza Encardes (Christopher Encardes). Proud grandmother of Jermon Terrell Bushrod Jr. and Jayla Leah Bushrod, Ava Lynn Encardes and Carter Christopher Encardes. Her loving companion and soul mate of 24 years Leonard Guidroz who loved Deborah with his entire heart and soul. Preceded in death by her father Walter Stein Sr.; mother Ruth Stein and brother Walter Stein Jr. Deborah leaves behind her caring and loving brother Kenneth Stein Sr.; as well as a niece Karen Stein Doran (husband John Doran, daughter Nichole Nunez and son Seth Doran); nephew Kenneth Stein Jr.; step mother to Aimee Guidroz, Shelly Guidroz and Dana Case; as well as 10 step-grandchildren and one great-stepgrandson. Deborah lived a life of passion and devotion to her family who will miss her dearly. She lived life to the fullest and shared her heart and friendship with a plethora of people from around this entire Earth. If you ever met Deborah you were a friend for life. Former State Representative Reed Stephen Henderson passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the age of 63. He was the beloved husband of 34 years to Hope Martin Henderson and the late Deborah Desselle Henderson. Loving father of Joshua Reed Henderson, Eric M. Henderson (Joelle), Zachary S. Henderson, and Heather Henderson DuBose (Daniel). Son of the late Ashley and Kathleen Cantrell Henderson. Brother of Janice Doran (the late John Jr.) and Ashlie Rodriguez (Roland “Roddy”). Proud grandfather of 10: Elijah Reed, Kate, Noah, Tristan, Lyla, Logan, Isabella, Zoe, Abigail, and Grant. Uncle of John Doran III, Ashley Doran Powell, Ross Rodriguez, Dane Rodriguez, and the late Kurt Rodriguez. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Reed enjoyed a long career of civil service to his community and devotion to his church. He was a licensed stockbroker, commodity trader, St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Deputy and entrepreneur. He honorably served as a Louisiana State Representative from 2008 – 2012 for District 103 and was currently serving as a lobbyist for the St. Bernard Parish Port. He was a devoted and lifetime parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet, LA, an honored member of the Knights of Columbus and he devoted much of his time teaching Catechism and serving as a lector for his church. He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend of many, who served his community and treasured his family. Rose passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the age of 90. She was at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. Loving wife of the late Anthony DiMartino and beloved mother of the late Julie DiMartino Kraft. She is survived by her son, Salvadore John DiMartino; daughter, Donna DiMartino Fraiche; and her devoted son-in-law, Doctor John F. Fraiche. Adoring grandmother of Justin Anthony Kraft; Doctor Geoffrey Michael Fraiche (Doctor Laura Webb); and Doctor Ariane Michele (“CoCo”) Fraiche. Great-grandmother of Logan, Garrett and Jack Finnley Fraiche. Daughter of the late Marguerite Campagna Batchelona and John Batchelona. Rose was a lifelong resident of Arabi, St. Bernard Parish, until Hurricane Katrina, thereafter residing in Ascension and East Baton Rouge Parishes. During World War II, she worked at the then U.S. Weather Bureau as a key punch operator. After the war, she was married to Anthony, a Naval war veteran, until his death. Rose was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, gardener of beautiful roses, chef of Italian cuisine, canasta player and was a crossword puzzle expert. Family and friends attended a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Holmes in New Orleans East. Joyce was a loving wife, mother and a loving and dedicated grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very proud Catholic and lived her faith through her unconditional giving. She will be deeply loved and missed by her family and friends. Former Chalmette resident, Richard E. Boyce, died on September 7, 2016 at his home in Livingston, LA where he has lived since Katrina. Richard is survived by his son, Rik Boyce; two sisters Sharon and Diana; 11 nieces; and four nephews. A burial service was held at Louisiana National Cemetery on Friday, September 23, 2016 in Zachary, LA. He was buried with full military honors due to his 30-year army national guard career.

Cinda Mae Rodriguez Melerine, a native of Delacroix Island and a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, passed away September 27, 2016 at the age of 73. Cinda was the beloved wife of the late Calvin Anthony Melerine, loving mother of Don Anthony Melerine, Rickey Anthony Melerine, Georgia Ann Melerine Howard, the late Dan Anthony Melerine, and motherin- Law of Tammy Deano Melerine and Brice John Howard, and adoring grandmother of Maycie LynnMelerine, Rickey Melerine Jr., Dillon Anthony Melerine and Shane Anthony Melerine. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Arnold and Josephine Rodriguez and her father and mother-in-law, the late Martin and Laura Melerine. She is survived by her siblings, Arnold Rodriguez (Pinky), Diane Bourgeois (Danny) and Sharon Graham (late Billy Graham). She is survived by, and fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Cinda took great pride in caring for her family. She was a stay home mother and homemaker devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She also managed the family business, Melerine’s Machine Shop. She took pride in her Spanish heritage as a board member of the Los Islenos Heritage & Cultural Society. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Albert Louis Meliet passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the age of 94. Son of the late Mary Mabel Ryan and Albert Louis Meliet Sr. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years Dolores “Dee” Legendre Meliet.  e is survived by his loving children, son Albert Meliet Jr. and daughters Ann Gebbia and Susan Quates (Robert), grandchildren Gina Hontiveros (Sal), Chad Quates (Sarah), Christy Crovetto (Matthew), and 9 great-grandchildren Cade and Amelia Hontiveros, Lucy and Oscar Quates, Rowan, Ryann and Elliot Crovetto, Harper and Hayley Quates. Mr. Meliet was a native of New Orleans, a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 50 years and a resident of Metairie for the last 10 years. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chalmette, where he was a fair worker, lector and a recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medal. He was also a former member of the AARP Pakenham Chapter 3926. Mr. Meliet was a 1938 graduate of Fortier High School in New Orleans. A U.S. naval veteran of WWII in the Pacific, serving on the USS Auriga, USS John Land and USS Harwood. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with 4 Stars, the Philippine Campaign / Liberation Medal with 2 Stars and the Navy Good Conduct Medal, among others. He worked for the United Fruit Company for 18 years, and then served as the Superintendent of Traffic and Warehousing at United China and Class Corporation until his retirement. His love, loyalty and devotion to his family knew no bounds. He was a man of exemplary character whose goodness will surely reach forward into generations to come. A man of certain faith, he resides with his beloved wife Delores in the arms of their savior, Jesus Christ. Scallan for 66 years. Loving father of Ted Scallan (Janice Rackliffe), Shelly Scallan Jeansonne (Billy Jeansonne and the late Joseph Munoz) and Timothy Scallan (Tina Miller Scallan). Son of the late Clifton and Clophine Beauclaire Scallan. Brother of Lena Garcia and Emeric Scallan. Proud grandfather of Marshall, Nick Scallan, Lauren Scallen, Christina Scallan and the late Robert John Munoz. Great grandfather of Kylie Munoz, Savannah Scallan and Lainey Thornhill. Uncle of Randy Scallan. Sheldon was born on July 24, 1931 in Mansura, LA and a resident of St. Bernard parish since 1958. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and also served in the National Guard. Sheldon retired from Kaiser Aluminum after many years of service. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing, hunting and found pleasure in cutting grass for about 25 of his fellow friends and neighbors. He was a a Veteran and served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by four daughters, Paula Garland of Madisonville, LA, Janet M. Dunham of Tacoma, Washington, Shannon M. Sturgeon of St. Bernard Parish, LA, and Robin G. Fraizer of Covington, LA; three sons, Scott C. Sturgeon of Avondale, LA, Elvis Aron Sturgeon, and Robert Glover of Austin, TX; one sister, Nancy Foster of Yuma, Arizona; one brother, Robert Sturgeon of s Kansas; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Terry Anthony Reyes Jr. passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the age of 34. He was the beloved husband of Nicole Marie Reyes for 6 years. Loving fat her of Lexi Reyes, Caden Reyes, Ryleigh Reyes, Jason Hartwick Jr. and Ethan Williams. Son of Terry Anthony Reyes Sr. and Angela Prestenbach Reyes. Son-in-law of Sonya Maas. Grandson of the late Eugene and Patricia Reyes, and John and Agnes Prestenbach. Grandson-in-law of Robert and Victoria Cook. Brother of Michelle Giroir (Jason), Justin Reyes (Jamie), Lauren Reyes (Earl), Terry Lindner (Linda) and Troy Lindner (Heather). Brother-in-law of William Church IV and Miranda Maas. Proud grandfather of Sophia Reyes and Drew Reyes. Godfather of Lola Reyes. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and especially his Aunt Nancy Marjorie. Terry was born on September 12, 1982 in New Orleans, LA, and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a former deputy for the New Orleans Police Department and St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office, and was currently working at Ray Brandt Nissan in Harvey, LA. Terry enjoyed fitness and working out. He was a loving and devoted father who truly enjoyed spending time with his family. Terry will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA, on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. A memorial service followed afterward. Inurnment was private. Frances Carderara Falgout went to heaven on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 9:55 p.m., surrounded by family at her home in Kenner, LA at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Clifford J. Falgout Sr. Loving mother of Mary Linda Jackson (Jack), Clifford J. Falgout Jr. (Cheryl) and Tina West (Milton). Daughter of the late Matteo and Josephine Piediscalzo Carderara. Sister of the late Frank, Chris, Mary, Josephine, Johnny, Rosie, Philip and Anthony. Proud grandmother of Jill Alexander (Brant), Jack Jackson Jr. and Chad Hudson, Clifford Falgout III (Amanda), Katelyn West and Meghan West. Great grandmother of Grace Alexander, Paige Alexander and Gabrielle Falgout. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Frances was born on July 18, 1932 in New Orleans, LA. At the age of 10, she was raised by her sister Mary and her husband Vincent DiCarlo. On December 24, 1952, she married Clifford J. Falgout Sr. in Braithwaite, LA. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Guardian Angel Hospice Care.
