Kim Monica David, 62, of St. Bernard Parish, resident of Jefferson Parish, passed away on November 9, 2018, in Braithwaite, LA. Kim Monica David was born in New Orleans to Roy Laurent and Juliet Bonnette on June 23, 1956. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in St. Bernard Parish. She married her first husband, Fred Bodungen, father of her daughter Monica Bodungen, then married Duane David. She worked as a medical billing support specialist for Ochsner Hospital for 35 years. She was involved in many arts and crafts including crocheting, making bows, mosaic tile, baking and cooking. Kim Monica David is preceded in death by her second husband Duane David, her parents, her stepmother Elenora Laurent and her stepsister Leesa Dominic. Kim Monica David is survived by her daughter Monica Bodungen (Marc Guerra), sister Jeanne Lagarde, Paul Lagarde III, and brother David Laurent. Memorials may be given to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd., Violet. The family extends our sincere thanks to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, doctors and nurses at Ochsner Hospital and East Jefferson General Hospital along with the services from palliative care. We are forever grateful to Mrs. Shelley Kellum, Kim's dearest friend. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Violet, LA, with mass to follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Bryan Howard officiating.
