Shirley Mae Ferron Trudeau, of Village Mills, TX, died in hospital Beaumont, TX, December 11, 2017 at the age of 89. Born in New Orleans, LA, November 25, 1928, she was predeceased by her father, Joseph C Ferron and mother, Thelma Marie Grady Ferron Stock; stepfather Edwin W. Stock Sr.; grandparents, Edward A. and Viola Morgan Grady; aunt, Vera Opel Grady Galleher (Philipson); favorite cousin, Philipson L. Galleher Jr. (Francis Huter); sister-in-law, Martha Dale Johnston Stock; husband, Woods Eastland Burch; son, Woods E. Burch Jr; husbands George L. Puckett, Wayne T. Thompson, George Devillie, and Russell C. Trudeau. She is survived by Edward Mayeur, partner, companion and, in last years, caregiver; son, Wayne Ricki Thompson (Michelle); grandson, Wayne W. Thompson; brother, Rev. Dr. Edwin W. Stock Jr. (Anne); sister, Dorthy Jean Stock Rumph (Donald); daughterin- law, Jo Anne Weaver Burch; nephews and nieces, Carolyn Louise Rumph Ricaldi (Ronald); Gregory Evan Rumph, MD (Catherine); Ginger Anne Rumph (Sandra Heard); Edwin W. Stock III (Cindy); former wife, Conni Cleveland Stock; Sarah Dale Stock Mills (Anthony); and numerous great-nephews, niece and cousins. She and Edward Mayeur evacuated Chalmette, LA, hours before Hurricane Katrina, September 2005 and found safe refuge in the Wildwood community of Village Mills, TX. An occasion of remembrance and celebration of her life will be Thursday, April 26, 2018, 2 p.m. in the Wildwood Lodge, Village Mills, TX. Her ashes will be inurned with those of her husband, Russell C. Trudeau, at a later date in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in St. Bernard Parish, LA. Shirley attended public schools in New Orleans, LA, Beauregard Elementary and MC Main High School. She was a gymnastic and active in student associations. She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She was active with the Association of Senior Citizens of St. Bernard Parish, LA, serving as Treasurer.
